Nemesis: Morvahna2. 2 – If a Tree falls behind your ‘Caster…

nemesismorv

Readers, Romans, I am a day late!

Let this dire portent settle upon you as we begin. Got it? Great! Comfy? Excellent. I spent my free hours yesterday playing with a damage simulator posted by Reik of Muse on Minis. It’s a nifty little excel sheet which runs calculations on average damage over a few identical attacks. It has an extra function where it calculates how likely you are to actually kill the model.

Nemesis: Morvahna2. 1 – Don’t Panic!

nemesismorv

The intention of this article is to talk, in brief-ish, about how tilting Scales of Fate can be. Then I’ll begin talking about playing against Morvahna2. However, before we begin, you need to be in the right mindset.

A long time ago, I wrote an article about Scales of Fate and how it effects dice rolls and probability. The charts are helpful when calculating, but months and months of playing Morvahna2 have thought me a few things.

Nemesis: Major Haley. 6 Part 2 – Time Shift Ain’t No Thing

nemesis 2

This week on Nemesis, we’re laying a trap. We’ve always been able to set up traps for collosals, but against Haley2 she will trivialise and de-tooth your counterattack. And there isn’t much you can do about it. Butcher3 is an exception. He should get to move 6” in his maintenance phase independent of activations. Even crossing a wreck, you’ll get to where you want to go. Today we are talking about the math, and our assumptions about how the matchup will play out, and where we can expect the pieces to be in relation to each other.

Nemesis: Major Haley. 6 Part 1 – 1st Army Problems

nemesis 2

Greetings and salutations!

As a brave and loyal Khadoran, you have heard horror stories of witches since the day you were born. Tales of crows and talons of steel, fables of women eating still beating hearts underneath the light of the three moons, fear and monstrosity in the unknown corners. Today, comrade, we will discuss the greatest of horrors for a stalwart man of the Empire. Today, we discuss the witch of time.

Nemesis: Major Haley. 5 – Returning of the Wandering Wordmonger

nemesis 2

It’s been a while! Life has been hectic! You can believe I was moving house, and work has been hectic, but the truth, the real truth is more reductive.

Not unlike my actual face.

So let’s get back in the driving seat! Let’s dust off and get back on the horse! Let’s …something something wagon? This week we are covering Trollbloods and Retribution of Scyrah. For Troll bloods there are easier answers, as a Troll beast brick is basically unshootable, and very good against Cygnar. So we’ll discuss some other lists with an honourable mention or two.

For Ret I’m going to discuss the subtleties of the ‘easy button’ against two stormwalls. Not that it’s a difficult matchup if you’re careful, but it bears some thought on the matter! Of course, as always, be aware of the assumptions I’ll be making about Haley’s list.

Nemesis: Major Haley. 4 – Operation Blight and Bunker

nemesis 2

Buenos Nachos Wargamers!

This week we get airborne, with both Legion and Cygnar. Legion have some fun options in this matchup, and I’m going to go with the zanier caster. Meanwhile Cygnar are the mirror match, which is always an awkward proposition. As always, be aware of the assumptions I’ll be making about Haley’s plan.

Nemesis: Major Haley. 3 – Operation Shock and Awe

nemesis 2

Greetings from the front friends!

It’s been a busy week on Overload Online with lots of new articles. I personally got some free Warmachine therapy for my Faction ADD! In case you are not also beleaguered with limited attention, don’t forget to be familiar with what Haley is up to!

Nemesis: Major Haley. 2 – Operation Smash and Burn

nemesis 2

Allo, allo!

We’re back to getting time shifted and dodging bullets here on the frontlines this week. Don’t forget to familiarise yourself with the List and its general game plan. It’s not a bad idea to have access to the Major’s rules while you read. Never forget that pods are busted!

Nemesis: The Lich. 12 – In The End…

nemesis

…progress is acheived by the man who does things.” – Theodore Roosevelt

Finally, we reach an end point. This will be my final discussion of Lich2, unless there is some kind of huge change in how his lists are built, or models that are effective against him. I may do a year in review after the next Hordes book if it’s really changed how the game is played in respect to the big bad.

Today I’m going to look at a single Mercenaries list, briefly discuss Minions, and ask a few questions. Formatting will be a bit weird because of it!
